             聚合氯化鋁在投加入廢水中后,利用其高分子量立體網狀空間結構,能夠將廢水中的混凝所形成的小的絮凝體粘結起來,形成大的絮凝帆花,使得高分子鏈互纏交聯,形成網捕,從而使絮凝體結構增大變粗,從而達到加速固體和液體分離,較后形成沉淀。但是聚合氯化鋁不具備凝聚作用,所以其只具有絮凝作用,只能作為絮凝劑。廢水處置中,經常采用聚丙烯酰胺+聚合氯化鋁聯合使用。這種混凝與絮凝相結合的配比使用藥劑,不但降低了廢水處置本錢,又大大提高了其污染物的絮凝速度與效果。
              聚合氯化鋁的包裝一般為編織袋或牛皮紙袋,防潮,防漏,相對堅韌。主要規格為聚丙烯酰胺5公斤/袋或25公斤/袋。
