ADSS光纜采用松套層絞式結構，將250µm光纖套入高模量材料制成的松套管中，松套管內填充防水化合物。松套管（和填充繩）圍繞非金屬中心加強芯（FRP）絞合成緊湊的纜芯，纜芯的縫隙充以阻水油膏。纜芯外擠制聚乙烯（PE）內護套，然后絞合起加強作用的芳綸，最后擠制聚乙烯（PE）外護套或耐電痕（AT）外護套。 
QI HAO QIAO  ADSS cable is loose tube stranded. Fibers, 250µm, are positioned into a loose tube made of high modulus plastics. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around a FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) as a non-metallic central strength member into a compact and circular cable core. After the cable core is filled with filling compound, it is covered with thin PE (polyethylene) inner sheath.
